The History of The B.C. Honda Owners Club

Since its formation, the B.C. Honda Owners Club has grown into one of Western Canada’s largest Honda and Acura enthusiast communities, connecting more than 7,000 online community members across British Columbia.

That distinction matters. BCHOC is not simply a social media page or a place to post vehicle photos. It is a community built around real participation: organized meets, cruises, dealership-supported events, sponsor relationships, club merchandise, technical knowledge, volunteer involvement and a shared commitment to representing Honda and Acura culture positively.

BCHOC welcomes every kind of Honda and Acura enthusiast. It does not matter whether someone drives an Odyssey Touring, a stock Civic commuter, a modified Integra, a restored Prelude, an RSX, an S2000, a modern Type R, an Acura sedan, or an NSX. The vehicle may differ, but the connection is the same.

Some community members have spent decades building, modifying and preserving Hondas. Others have recently purchased their first Honda or Acura and are discovering the culture for the first time. BCHOC brings those people together while preserving the community-first attitude that defined its predecessor clubs.

The B.C. Honda Owners Club did not begin with a logo, a website or a social media following. It began with people.

It began with Civic owners meeting through 604Civics. It grew through the VancouverCivics community and its evolution into BCHondas. It became BCHOC when those established communities came together to build something larger, more organized and capable of representing Honda and Acura enthusiasts across British Columbia.

The cars have changed. The platforms have evolved. The way enthusiasts connect has moved from forums to social media, websites and large-scale events. But the reason the community exists has stayed the same: to bring people together through a shared appreciation for Honda and Acura vehicles and the culture built around them.

BCHOC holds formal authorization from Honda Canada Inc. for specified uses of Honda and Acura trademarks in connection with approved club activities, including its website, club events, dealership events, sponsor-hosted events and approved merchandise.

With that recognition comes responsibility. BCHOC is committed to following Honda Canada’s brand standards and trademark-use requirements in all approved applications of Honda and Acura marks. The club represents the Honda and Acura community with care, professionalism and respect for the brand, its vehicles, its dealerships, its partners and its owners.
